About Us

Arkansas Term Limits is an Arkansas Ballot Question Committee (BQC) registered with the Arkansas Ethics Commission. It's sole mission is to promote, advocate for, and canvass for the Arkansas Term Limits Amendment petition intitiative.

We are citizens of the state of Arkansas who have banded together with the single purpose of gathering over 84,000 valid voter signatures on intitiative petitions so that this issue can be placed before the voters at the general election in 2018.

In 1992 and again in 2004, Arkansas voters overwhelmingly supported term limits for members of the Arkansas Legislature. In 2014, chafing under the restraints of term limits, the politicians at the state capitol decided to ignore the clearly expressed will of the people, and trick the voters into gutting term limits. They buried the changes in a so called ethics amendment, which barely passed with 52% of the vote.

Arkansas now has the weakest term limits in the nation, written by politicians, for politicians. Politicians can stay in the Legislature for up to 22 years. Arkansas voters like term limits, Arkansas politicians do not.

The citizens of Arkansas have already done this once, in 1992. We intend to repeat the feat. We simply cannot allow the politicians dishonesty to stand. Won't you join our team?
